Keep Cool During July And August With A Cotton Dress

There’s something about cotton dresses that epitomises British summertime. Ideal for the changeable British weather, they cool and relax in the rare hot days that we have and look equally good with a cardigan, a jacket or a blouse, keeping you cosy and dry on those colder, rainy July days. They give a bright, colourful, cheerful impression, while offering a patterned look in the most part. Really we are being optimistic, hoping that the weather will be as bright as the cotton dress that we wear. This season, patterns are part of the whole fashion ethos, so you can go wild with colour and patterns and know that not only are you cool and dressed for the weather, but you won’t stick out from the crowd (well, not too much anyway, just enough to be noticed). And if you are off on holiday, cotton dresses are also de rigeur. There is nothing more iconic than walking along a stretch of beach in a cotton dress, especially if there is a bit of a breeze, and perhaps the sun is starting to set (yes, I know, you get the picture). So what sort of style of dress should you go for? There are a range of styles of cotton dresses available; as with all clothes, it depends on your shape really when it comes to buying the best sort of dress for you. For those of us with hourglass figures, a 50’s style prom dress is always good, as it shows off our best assets and hides the bits that we might not like so much. If you are shorter in stature, don’t wear a maxi dress, it will swamp you and won’t do anything to make you look taller. Mid calf length frocks are the best for you. Those of you with the enviable tall and thin frame can get away with anything; and you will also look great in the more colourful large patterns. And for the typical British pear-shaped woman, well anything that has shape should be good. Don’t hide yourself under reams and reams of fabric. It will just make you look bigger. But remember, most of all, to enjoy summer and make sure you have enough cotton dresses to ensure that your wardrobe is ready for any emergency. One tip to remember if you are packing for a trip abroad is that you can easily pack a crinkle finished number that can be worn straight from the suitcase. These specialised cotton dresses are ideal if you want to keep your packing light, but still want something smart to wear once you reach your destination. So whatever your needs for summer are, make sure you have a classic cotton dress in your wardrobe.

Where Did Picture Frames Come From Anyway?
When putting a photo in a frame, most people just grab one from their local big box store and slap their photo in it. Not many people give much thought to the origin of the picture frame and how much it has evolved from its humble beginning. Today most picture frames are mass produced from composites of wood or metal but picture frames started as works of art in and of themselves.
