Pregnancy Calander - Why Does A Pregnant Woman Need A Pregnancy Calander?

When you are expecting a baby, a pregnancy calander can be an awesome tool to use. If you don"t know the exact date that you conceived your baby, you can use one to tell you the approximate day. In most cases, it"s about two weeks after the first day of your last period. From there, you can get so much information it"s almost unbelievable. For example, did you know that your fetus has the the greatest chance of getting birth defects at around five to ten weeks gestational age? I certainly never did, and it wasn"t something my primary heath care physician ever told me when I informed him I was planning on getting pregnant. A pregnancy calander will also tell you when your baby"s fetal and major organs have formed, and it can be cool to track the development of your child"s lungs, spine and brain activity. It can be awesome to know the exact week when your baby can listen to the same music that you do, and also when to stop torturing the poor thing with your off key shower singing. Good pregnancy calanders will tell you when your baby is most likely to survive a premature birth, so you can breathe a little easier as each week passes that point. Of course, a pregnancy calander will also tell you when to expect to bring your little bundle of joy into the world. Ideally, this is after you have carried the baby for around 40 weeks. You can mark it on your calander and count down the days until you can see your feet again and wear your favorite pair of stiletto heels. Then again, your new baby will probably have you running around so much you might want to invest in a few good pairs of sneakers instead.

Sex-Assault Survivors Deserve Names, Not Stigma
The journalistic convention of "unnaming" sex-assault victims is well-intentioned, but harmful. By deleting the victims" names from their own stories, the media pushes rape survivors into the shadows and adds to their social stigma.
